From a young age, I knew that I would be designing and creating as a career.
It all started with Lincoln Logs and Legos .
When I was young, I always had to be building something. Whether it was sand castles, Lincoln Log houses or epic Lego spaceships, I was always trying to create something new and original. As I grew older, that same creativity and experimentation stayed with me. I started drawing / sketching anything I could see, which eventually turned into drawing up my own designs for shoes, furnitures, houses, etc. When it was time to decide on a career path, I had my eyes set on Architecture.
I attended Lawrence Tech for 3 years studying Architecture, which is where my foundation as a designer was laid. However I realized that my true passions were for design, so I then continued my education at the College For Creative Studies and Wayne State, completing my Bachelors in Graphic Design.
I quickly got a few internships in Graphic Design and Production, and during that time, I taught myself motion graphics, 3D animation, HTML5, CSS3, WordPress and a few other things. I now hold a full time job at a post production company as a Motion Graphics Designer doing everything from traditional motion graphics, 3D animation and modeling, editing, and at times audio. I also stay busy with a big variety of freelance projects throughout the year.
It’s been a crazy ride, and I look forward to creating new things for a long time to come!
